Default battery

Hi Guys,

I have a 4.8 volt receiver battery that went for a swim under a fuel tank with a 3/16" hole. What should I do to make sure it is not damaged? Any thoughts would be great.

You can cycle it with a battery cycler. If you have any doubts about it, for the cost, just replace it. Good Luck, Dave

It won't hurt to remove the outer shrinkwrap and rinse it off well with denatured alcohol then air dry. You can then just wrap in tape or put on the proper size shrink wrap if you can locate some. Generally, the components of fuel will not cause an electrical problem. It is just nice to get all the oil off as it will collect dirt as well as being just plain messy.
