Any Substitute for ca?
Putting together my first arf ep plane..... Mini Super Sportster anyways... my nearest hobby shop is an hour away.... and I dont have any CA is there anything else I can use super glue ect??? I have tire CA but not sure if that will work for the hinges ect... thanks

For wood and/or foam, any of the alaphatics (Titbond, Elmers etc.) work very well, just not an instant bond. Yes, super glue is a form of CA but the quality may be doubtful. for small models, it is probably adequate.

For the hinges you need thin CA so it wicks into the hinge material and the balsa. A lot of hardware store have pretty good glue selections and you might find a decent CA there.
Wood glue or white glue is good for gluing wood to wood but not for the hinges.
The hardware stroe should have plenty of epoxy too.

neat little thing i read recently. white elmers is pva but so is two versions of titebond. only titebond original is Alaphatic. i use wood glue for everthing now.
