Default What happend to them?

Hey guys, I bought a edge 540t from a buddy of mine about 4 months ago. Its awesome, all the firewall was glassed and he set the rudder up with a pull pull system. Its a .90-1.20 size plane, I put a Moki 1.80 on it and its just sick how fast it is. Anyway, the plane is made by Lanier. I dont know much about that company, does anybody know if there still making planes? Ive been searching on the net to try and find something on them but I havent been to lucky. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Moki

They were bought out by Hobbico. Tower hobbies still sells little bit of their stuff.

Tower had a huge Lanier clearance sale about a year ago. I got a flight box for like $15, and they were selling a lot of kits for half price or less.

I don't know how much they have left now.

Yup.. They were bought up by Hobbico along with Goldberg (Lanier was owned by Goldberg). Hobbico promptly axed the entire Lanier line along with a good chunk of The Goldberg line.
Tower only has 2 Lanier kits still listed and I suspect it's just leftover stock.

I got a 81" Cap 232 kit in that sale for $120..

Lanier bought Goldberg and owned them about 4 yrs

Hobbico just sorta killed Lanier when they bought Lanier out

They have been killing out CG too if it was something that competed with something they already have. I liked the CG Extras a lot!!

I cannot figure why Hobbico didn't buy CG back there several years ago when it first came up for sale

???????????? Not a clue but I have watched them chopping out anything that would compete with the kits they already made. Why CG quit making there Sukhoi I will never understand, perhaps it wasn't a big seller?? Just because I like it doesn't mean it is a money maker for the manufacture. Like a lot of the kits, when I was ready to build it or had the money for it then it was gone and out of production. [>:] I guess the slow and poor just loose out!!
