Those Foam Wheels...
Ya know those foam wheels that often come with an ARF trainer?
They usually don't work well on a grass field and quite often end up in someone's box marked "stuff."
Well, I'm a little ashamed to admit it but, I like'em!
They're light, low bounce, and because no one seems to use them, they're free!
If anyone knows where I can get me some please let me know!
Better yet, if you have some, I'd be more than happy to take them off your hands and reduce the pile in the box marked "stuff."
Thanks,
Jeff

Foam Wheels
Hey Jazzy,
I stopped using them 2 falls ago when the field got wet and the wheels just kept absorbing water. Made take-offs real interesting. My buddy had some on his 25% Cap and ended up with triangular wheels. He stored it on the wheels at home and kept moving it. Imagine 3 flats with each wheel
I like the compromise of the Sullivan Skylites. Light as plain foam but covered with a solid piece of rubber. AND they don't absorb water.
I'm holding onto mine for some experimental planes I'm working on (combat bipes) but that is another story
Nuker

OK Jeff, give us your PO Box address and pay shipping.
You'll have a lifetime supply for you and your grandchildren.
I bet you just want them to slit then punch out the hubs and put
them over your hot water pipes in your house.

Insulating?...Nah
Working in the construction arena I have easy access to free pipe insulation. I've actually made tires out of the stuff for existing hubs. Works pretty good.
I'll PM ya with the necessary info if ya want to unload'em.
