Default Mystery film covering ?

A guy gave me some covering he said was ULTRACOTE, but it does'nt have any peel away backing like Monocote, just a dull white adheasive. Does this sound like Ultracote, it has no peel away backing ? Does Ultracote have a backing ?

Ultra has a off white sheet of backing on it, matt on one side and gloss on the other when you peel it off. What color of covering it it??Let's say the color is red, it will still have the off white sheet on the back and when peeled the backing of the covering will be red.

I've used Sig Aerokote that had a clear backing that was very hard to remove and pretty difficult to tell it was even there. It had a white adhesive layer as well.

I believe Wolr Models toughlon is the same but I could be wrong on that.

Take your sealing iron and touch a corner on the dull side and see if the backing lifts up.  You can also try a test strip and see if it sticks.
