what makes a good smoke oil?
Hi I am Looking for different mixes for home brewed smoke oils for both gas and glo, as the commercial stuff is just way too expensive here.

RE: what makes a good smoke oil?
Hello,
I was asking myself the same question not too long ago. Igot onto the sullivan website (Ihavea sullivan skywriter) and they had some good stuff. http://www.sullivanproducts.com/FuellPumpsContent.htm This link is to the sullivan site.Look to the right of the skywriter and click on guide to skywriter smoke. They have some good stuff. Good luck!

RE: what makes a good smoke oil?
qldviking,
Smoke fluid mixes are guarded by most people that have them, I have used the auto fluid/diesel mix and it works well, use a 50/50 mix but you can play with it either way up to about 75/25, another good oil is concret form oil, some people have used baby oil or banana oil, the only thing is you have to be able to regulate the flow of oil into the muffler as you don't need as much going in as you think. Good luck with it.
Cheers
