Default CA on GOLF PANTS!

I did a search on removing CA , but I guess I am the only one that has dripped this stuff onto a nice pair of pants!. Does anybody want to take a shot on how to get this stuff out? I 'm tempted to go acetone, but think that will just soften the CA up and then leave an acetone stain. OH FIDDLESTICKS!. Hmmmmm Golf?..Flying?....Golf?.....Flying?.... HEY FISHIN's FUN TOO!

Default Poor little baby...

Acetone will work as will CA debonder...both might harm the fabric...oh well

Why not simply use these as shorts for the shop/building and go from there instead of whining about it...just an idea

1. Work to convert the golf course into a nice flying field.

2. If the golf pants must be saved, take them to a dry cleaner; I'd suspect that they'd know how to get acetone-soluble glue out.

Well, look at it this way...

The pants are already ruined, so why not try the acetone, and let us know if it works. Then we'll all know

Could also cut them up and use them for rags.

Never gotten glue out of them. Now they are building pants. Don't get grass stains on your building pants golfing in them.

Take up flying full time. At least that's what I did.

If you can afford both golf AND flying, you can afford a new pair of pants

Default New pair of Pants

Sounds to me like you now have a new addition to your shop clothes closet.
An old pair for me is a new pair for the shop as I keep several pairs of pants and shirts for the shop and the flying field.
I just cant keep glow fuel off my clothes at the field and certainly cant keep them clean in the shop. So I have a whole other set of clothes for the situation.
I have thought of getting one of those shop suits that is one piece and zips up but have not had a chance to look into it.
This would work great for me because I would be able to fly on the way home from work without changing clothes, just put on the suit and Im ready to go.

From the golf slacks I've seen, you probably did yourself a favor!
I golf and fly in jeans, and if it's warm jean shorts.

Default CA removal

I spilled CA on my new jeans the other day. I removed it with acetone and it worked to my satisfaction. I removed a little of the blue dye but it worked for me and is not noticeable. If you dont like the results you just have a new pair of modeling clothes. ha.
