Default Expert Electronics Servos

Hello All,

The other day I was rummaging through a box of long forgotten RC parts and made a nice find. I found NIB 8 Expert Electronic SL571 Servos. I searched the web and found only minimal information regarding these servos other than their rated torque specs and that they are ball bearing units. Does anyone know if these are metal gear driven servos? and what servo arms fit them? Has anyone had any experience with these servos? I have been told that JR manufactured these for expert but my JR servo arms won't fit them which makes me wonder if JR actually did manufacture these. I would like to use these servos and for the life of me can not remember buying them, unless Santa or some other supernatural entity dropped them off. [&:]

Best Regards

Paul

Default RE: Expert Electronics Servos

HI Paul,
I've got some Expert SL 571 servos that I've had for years. Great inexpensive servos. I've yet to ever have a problem with one of them. They have been out of production for a while and that's a shame. They retailed for about half the price of a JR standard. Don't know if JR manufactured them or not but I do know that the gears are interchangable with the JR 537 servo. They were sold through Horizon so I expect JR had something to do with it.They are not metal gear. I've used standard JR servo arms on them and I have used Dubro heavy duty arms also.
I used them in applications where I wanted a little more torque than a standard servo. I've used Expert battery packs and servo extensions. All good stuff.

Bill
