Guys,
Can anyone recommend a gas-proof flat clear that I can use to protect some acrylic paintwork on my airplane?
Not having any luck on my own.
Thanks for your help,
Rick

Hi,
I bought some [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXVT73&P=7]Pactra R/C Acrylic Clear Fuel Sealer [/link] for my Spitfire but haven't tried it yet.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll try them all, if need be.
Interesting about the Lusterkote. I tried that one last week, and wiped it afterward. The clear-coat was still wet, and the paint wiped off. I waited until the remainder of the sample dried, and the paint didn't wipe off. Scary, but it does work.

I tried Lusterkote Clear on Rust-oleum PaintersTouch acrylic. The paint crazed under the Lusterkote in about 2 minutes. I'm ordering some Klasskote Clear to try out. Expecting better results.

No problem, I'll keep you informed of my results. Nick at Klasskote emailed me an reply stating that several modelers have used klasskote over rust-oleum paint with a 95% success rate. Their are also trying to get a better distribution of their product through LHS. It would be great to see this locally on the shelves like K&B and Hobby Poxy was years back.

Klass Kote!!! Love the stuff!! Hate the price though!! If you happen to find some of the old K&B part A then the KK part B usually works very well with it. The Lusterkote works OK on most paints if you spray it on in several thin coats and let it harden for about 10 days. Longer the cure time the better it gets!!
