Asking for a friend, what size ZDZ engine would it take?
It has a 70" wing and 20lbs weight . miles reed solution x
all american kit cutters kit. thanks for any info. Kenneth

I am building one now for a guy in Michigan......Reallistically I think you can get it down to 18 to 19 pounds. Depending on the type of flying, either the 50 or 60. The 60 is a bit heavy but has more power.

What weight should the plane weigh dry? HE IS STILL BUILDING IT.

If built without trying to lighten it, then 20 pounds is in the ballpark, but try not to get too much over that. If you wanted to go all out on the lightening, 18 pounds would be achievable.
