Default What about these?

Hi,

More stuff from an old box of RC stuff.

These look like cg balancers maybe?
Are they home made?

Thanks!

These are airplane rests. If you have a feild box with your equipment in it then you can put these posts on either side of the box. They should be adjustable and open wider or smaller in order to rest your plane down on them while you work on it.

here is a picture of a hobbico feild box with similar type cradles on the top.

They look like they would be used to run you engine up before take off. The long rod goes in the ground and set your airplane in the holder. Start your engine and make any adjustments before take off.

There is always one...

They do look like cradles, but if you look closer you will see that they can be adjusted for every angle and there is no reason to have the tops exposed with the rounded cut out.
If that was for safety, then why not just round them.
The part with the strapping tape also has holes for other attachments. If they are cradles, they must be home made.

I do not think they are ground restraints, no dirt or oil on them at all.

I have no doubt they are an overly elaborate bench cradles used in a bench tray and can hold a fuselage upright or near sideways to work on.

I have the airplane cradle these go with. What is missing is the base which consists of two bars that the parts you have slide into. Then the bars are connect to each other with two 1/4 inch steel rods and the whole thing is adjustable. I bought mine 25 years ago and have been using it ever since. It is a great cradle.

What about these? "They" are a "Model Master Model Cradle", were made by DaCa Co. in Omaha back in the 70's or 80's.
A very handy table-attached system used to hold a fuselage on the workbench while working on it. Fully adjustable in all
directions and dimensions. Well finished aluminum throughout.
I have two sets, complete with uprights and cradle pieces. One set has seen extensive use, the other one was to be
a source of parts if ever needed, but that time never came. I would be persuaded to part with the unused set if someone
really needs it. Direct: [email protected]. Thanks
