HI. GUYS IS TIME TO MOVE ON... FROM A 50CC REACTOR TO A 85CC SUKHOI! MY RPOBLEM IS THE FALLOWING I BOUGHT THIS PLANE (http://www.nitroplanes.com/su50giscniga.html) THE PLANE IS GOOD QUAILITY WELL NO AS GOOD AS AEROWORKS BUT THE PLANE IS acceptable.



I WAS THINKING TO USE A 85CC ENGINE ON IT BUT IM AFRAID OF BEING WAY TO MUCH OVER POWER THIS IS WHAT THE MANUAL ASK FOR 50cc-85cc Sukhoi SU-26

BUT IM NOT SURE.. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? ALSO WHICH BRAND OF EGINE SHOUL I BUY? LETS TRY YO KEEP THE PRICE LOW PLEASE.. WHAT IS YOU EXPERIENCE ON BUYING USED ENGINES?

So far I have seen that plane flown with a DA 50 and a Zinoah G-62 and the power was just fine unless you are a pure 3_D pilot. Three weeks ago one of the guys came out with one of there giant YAKs and was using the DLE 55, I really liked that combo. As light as there ARFs are built it doesn't take a lot to fly them. Just depends on what the pilot is looking to do with them.

If the advertised weight is accurate then you'll be fine with a good 50-55cc. The 85 might be beneficial for serious 3D but otherwise overkill.

The DA-50 is an excellent engine. If you don't want to spend that much though, look at some of the low cost, high performance 50cc class of engines coming out of China. Some of them run very well. Tower Hobbies is selling the DLE's now and Hobby City has some high performance 50's that are dirt cheap and perform great considering the cost. You'll of course give up some of the support and other perks of going with the more expensive engine but you might be fine with that as long as you know it going in. You just have to decide what your main requirements are and buy accordingly.
