I would think it is a bit too large
to hand launch. Why would you want to ?
Take offs and landings are to best part
of the flight (imo).

I have seen guys hand launch 40 size trainers, so I'm sure it's possible. I do agree that it's not advisable on this size plane, and am curious about the reason. If it's because you don't have an adequate runway for takeoff, then I wonder how you would land it. Are you just trying to save weight by eliminating the landing gear?
