What is the correct way to run pull pull cables?
 

I am putting a pull pull system on my plane. When I run the wires through the fussalage I am haveing a problem with the wires going aroung the fusalage spars. I have no way of getting in there to cut holes in the spars to plumb the wire through. What is the correct way of doing this?

I'm doing a pull pull on my EAA bipe. I'm trying out Sullivan kevlar-aramid cables They have guide tubes so you don't have to worry about rubbing

Thanks for the reply Danny. I think I'm just going to run the wires through some 2/56 tubing. Just enough to get around the ribs. My du bro kit did'nt come with any tubing. I can't think of a better way of doing it. Thank you !!

if it is bare cable it will eventually wear threw the tubing but thats the only solution i can thank of

2-56 is a screw thread.
Run your cables thru Sullivan Nyrod outers if you need to do that.

Be careful about using tubing to guide the cables around fuse members. Eventually, the cables will wear through the wood and cuase slack which will then result in a very exciting flight.

You might want to think about crossing the cables so they take up as little area as possible...

I have used nothing but pull-pull on both elevator and rudder on all my 1/4 scale. I use nylon coated fishing leader material routed thru nylon tubes. Some are over 12 years old with heavy use and none have ever worn thru the tubes. I even use the tubing to route the cables in something other than a direct line with no problems. A good source of tubing is Hobby Lobby, you can get 25 ft. rolls rather inexpensively. Chadderbox, I'm curiouse, I've never heard of spars in a fuselage, do you mean stringers or do you mean the bulkheads?

They must be called bulk heads. They run every six inches or so through the entire fuselauge. Thanks for your help!! Chad
