How does the Y harness with reverse work

I am finishing up on my first attempt at building a P-51. The problem is this. My receiver has only one imput for the aileron so I had to use a Y harness with a reverse function. I have messed around with it some but found that the ajuster will move the servo but it wont return back to its position. Does anyone know how this works? I am using it with a JR transmitter and receiver. Thanks in advance for any help.

For ailerons you should use a regular Y-harness, not a reversing Y-harness.

Refer to attached diagram for connections to the aileron servos.

First, Receivers have outputs not inputs. The input is called an antenna.
I guess you mean the adjuster in the reverser moves the center on the related servo but what do you mean it won't return to its position? What position?

Did you buy a reverser for a JR?

A Futaba reverser will not work.

ailerons dont require a reversing Y...

Like everyone has said, just get an inexpensive standard Y harness for your ailerons. The reversing Y is mainly for things like dual elevator servos when your radio doesn't support it.

Thanks for all your advise. Thats what I did and I found that I had made a CARELESS mistake in mounting the servo. Thats why they were moving the same direction.

Speeking of y harness's where is the cheapest place to get them? Tower wants like $ 9.95.

Bonified Wingnut--

I use connectors, wire, switches etc from:

They are very reasonable and I believe to be of good qaulity.

Buying a higher end Wye harness is not expensive. Better quality costs more. The Tower price is one that I would consider cheap.
