RE: New QQ-Yak 86"
Rezagh...
Great job and response timing to our questions and statements.. they must have
you tied to the computer...)
In your initial post of this thread, you mentioned "around" 20 modifications, and I'm
sure that those you mentioned were considered major modifications. I am curious
about the rest of the mods. If you could provide some generalization as to the remaining
mods, I am sure there would be others as appreciative as I for your input in that area.
I am in the process of comparing 50 CC models for purchase, and this new Yak compares
very well with the rest.

RE: New QQ-Yak 86"
Ok its been 11 days since the last post here, any dates yet? lol
I'm getting a new yak for sure, its driving me nuts trying to decide... I think this one is going to win! One thing that held me back from the 85 is that it seemed to take a lot of work to get it into the air so its nice to know this will be easier to build! Will this one use robart pin hinges? One thing I really like about a lot of models out there is that they use robart hinges and they have the holes pre drilled!

RE: New QQ-Yak 86"
Hi There,
Holes are cut out for you. It will use flat (klitz) hinges. The 85" wasn't that hard to build. The only things that need to be done by builder was the tank tray and throttle servo tray, everything else was fit and glue. Anyhow, this one will be even easier to build. We are hoping by the end of this year. Any changes, I will let you know.
Thank you,
Reza Gh.

Mike.
I think it is the TD75 not the K!
wings19,
I don't have the dimension info yet. It is very close to the 85".
Thank you,
Reza

The other difference between the two is The TD is 55mm dia and the K is 70mm dia this would make a difference to the width of the chamber if it has closed side's. Is it a closed compartment or open to the atmosphere? does it have a width restriction? sorry to ask all this but my 85" Yak with a BCM wrap around is so noisy its got to go, even though its flys like no other.

I think it is closed chamber with high temp clear plastic that makes the can visible towards the bottom (I don't know if production would be like that yet). It is the 55mm dia. not 70mm. I think the 70mm would be little big to fit there.

Reza,
I think I ordered the wrong items from DA as far as header and canister. I ordered the zero drop and the MTW-75K. Can you double check on both of these items before I return them to DA for an exchange? Thanks.

I'm almost sure about the can set up 1" double bent drop and MTW 75. 1 1/4" stand offs. Now I would wait a little longer until Quique tests fly the second prototype. 99% that set up won't change but I would wait until the assembly manual is out before buying related items. You can always send it back to DA to exchange it as long as it stays brand new or send it back now and have them credit you until the manual is out then get the right stuff.
Thank you,
Reza

RE: New QQ-Yak 86"
RCFREAK,
I have not seen it mentioned here but the first one went in. I talked to Quique just after it happened at the Dayton Ohio Giant Scale show.....He was doing a flat-spin and the engine died. With three other planes in the air you could not hear it and before he could pull it out it was all over.
