I am finishing a QQ YAK 85" and I was wondering if anyone has ever used magnets to attach the canopy. I have used this method sucessfully on smaller planes but have never seen it used on 50cc types. I figure two or three button magnets on each side would hold it. If anyone has tried this, please let me know how it worked.

I doubt it would hold the 85 canopy.

I've seen it done, but not successfully, if you know what I mean.
