OK guy's lets get fired up for the Muncie event. Now that the CORKS event is over we're going to start practicing so we can compete. See, what everyone doesn't know is we used that event to "SCOPE OUT" the competition so we can learn what everyone was doing and who we have to beat. Paul Fannin and I were secretly taking notes this whole time. (while flying 40 flight s a day) We took really good notes..as you can imagine. We'll see how our scrimage and pre-game films will work for us....... maybe I'll hit the runway now..

Mike S.

P.S. the white circle idea was entirley just to throw Juan off his game. We practice with a red circle.... LOL

Mike - have you heard any other details about this event? I checked out the website for the Henry County Wright Flyers and couldn't find any information about this event. I'm planning to attend! Still need to get my jump plane fixed so I can get back up and practice more!

Hi Chad,
What information do you need? It is at the AMA site and I think we are at center stage this year. The format is the same as what was at our event. In fact that is where we got our format from. It's all day Saturday and then things usually wrap up around 1 or so on Sunday. I don't remember how much registration is, I think it is around 15 dollars. We all usually go out to eat Friday and Saturday evening. As for Hotels I have no idea, I stay in Paul Fannin's travel trailer. It is a lot of fun. If the weather is good there are usually a few people night flying Friday and Saturday night. Makes for a fun event. Glad your going to make it, I think you will enjoy it. Your more than welcome to come up and pratice with us. I will try to give you a days notice so you will have time to prepare. Lets hope for good weather. No Hurricanes!!!! You need help fixing your Telemaster let me know.

Mike S.

Sorry Chad I go your name wrong.[]

Sounds great! We have a camper and I think the whole family is coming and we are going to camp out. I think the kids will have a good time with the museum and stuff. I've never been to the headquarters and am excited to see it!

Great, we setup the camper at the center stage camp ground. They have electric hook ups there. You have to stop at the main office on the way in or Saturday morning and they give you a tag to put on the electric box. There is a water hose there to put water in your tank at the site. Plus there is a shower there if you need it. They also have an area to empty your tanks just down the road.

Bob and I should be there sometime on Friday afternoon. Hope to be able to get in a few practice drops. If I remember correctly last year we went to the Texas Steak House for dinner on Friday night. Saturday night it was a hunt for a place that didn't have an hour or more of waiting time. I like the idea of getting together for dinner on both nights.
Juan

PS: reference your post #148 and the white circle. I knew it was conspiracy against me. If the circle had been painted red I would have scored 100's each drop. LOL

Thats what Paul Fannin and I figured, we sat and pondered for hours "how we can keep Juan from running away with the points" .......

My son and I will be there to enjoy the great weekend. We will be staying both days to get our best jumps recorded. Maybe RCSkydiving will have some more prizes for the event!

We will be getting a hotel in Muncie. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for the XFC and it was really nice. We are staying at one of the other hotels near there for IRCHA, so I will see how that hotel is. The Super 8 is really getting run down, was pretty nasty last time I stayed there.

The Muncie Rally has been listed in the AMA magazine for atleast the past two months in the contest calendar.
The guys that run it were at the CORKS Rally and were handing out flyers, they were set up between Dave and myself, they had the blue Dodge car and the homemade trailer.

I will try to upload the flyer.

As Mike mentioned above, a lot can be learned from film study. For example, below you will notice the winner illustrating a one leg landing method and scoring big points. Followed by a victory dance in the landing zone.

Others tried to use this method without the victory dance which resulted in no points.

Now we know Jules "secret" and we will all be using the "ONE LEG LANDING METHOD" and then follow it up by the "Victory Dance" in the landing zone. Thanks for the information Paul.

Bob, I think Gary V. photoshopped that picture. You don't really think that is Little Juan in the white circle. All kidding aside that is a great picture Gary V. I did land in the white circle a few times.

I'm gonna have to get alot of practice jumps between now and Muncie. Will also practice the "One Leg Landing Method" and hopefully I can do the "Victory Dance".

See you all at Muncie.

Juan

Well, it's two weeks from Friday and I hope to see many friends there at Muncie. Attached are some pics of my new Telemaster built by George Lust. I think he has several Chinese boys living in his workshop because it was completed in two weeks. It has a OS-160 twin for power. That's similar to Fannin's Telemaster except his now has a gas burner. His Telemaster now has two functions. One is to haul jumpers and the other is to "wake the dead".

If you are holding his plane while it is running and he say's something to you, just smile and shake your head yes , because you will never hear him say anything. You'll just see his lips move.....

Loud is not the word for it.....

Hi Bob,

Haven't tried it with a jumper. Without, it climbs very well and flies nice. Yes, Dubro 5" wheels
