New drop plane - the
#26
Don, I'll get the cd out on Monday. Give you something to do while you're iced in the frozen north.
That is really great of you to send out a Muncie DVD. Will be looking forward to it,
Went to the field today and made 3 jumps with "Charly". Guess I need to look at my cd on packing chutes as the first two had fouled control lines. They were making like a helicopter. The third was much better. Landed next to me in a 20mph wind!!! Guess I'm practicing for a windy rally in Columbus, Oh.
The new "No Name" jump plane worked ok but will have to put some washers behind the mount top to give it more down thrust. The 4 1/2 " cg seemed to work well even after all the mods I made.
Mike, your Telemaster worked great at Muncie with the gasser on it. Without more experience with "No Name", I would not suggest you change your setup just yet. As the wx gets better I will try two then three jumpers and will then be able to make suggestions. If it ain't broke, don't fix it would apply at this time!!

Yea, I hear you Jim. I am very pleased with the performance of the the DLE-30 on the my Telemaster. Probably won't change that one again. I think I have solved my header problem. I picked different header and it seems to working at this point. May look to put a set of pods on it though.
I cann't help it, I like to tinker.
I am more interested in the success you and Juan find with the no namer as a jump plane. Looks like it would be a good combination for anyone wanting to get into RC Skydiving.

Jim: I never did measure the CG on my nameless plane. I just balanced it along the main spar. I am using the CRRC 26cc motor. I did put some additional downthrust in my engine. I also used Triangular stock all around the firewall to beef it up because it was loose in its slot.
Mike S: Good to hear that you are planning on have an RC Skydiving Rally at Ohio next year. RE: your budget be sure and have enough in the budget for flourescent orange paint!!

Bright White Paint....... that is what you meant.... right Juan? Or was that just 3-5, 3-5, 3-5?

I'll start a new thread to discuss the Ohio event.

Hi Greg and Frank,
Those are great photos of your Pine Belt Fun Fly. They are the best I've ever seen about R/C Skydivers.
Attached are some photos of my new Telemaster built by George Lust. It flew at Muncie in September and has since been improved with a new exhaust header and tail pipe. Hopefully it will keep exhaust oil away from the jumper. The system was custom built by Keleo Creations in Oregon.
Hope to see you both in July at the CORKS field.
