Default A good kit

Guys,

Are there any newer buggies sold in kit form? I have more fun building the cars than driving these days. But it seems the 8ight, RC8b and the Hyper 9 are all sold as race rollers? or am I mistaken? I want a competitve buggy to build onn my christmas list. Any other options?

Id prefer nitro, but will consider electric...

Thanks

THE car from JQ products is coming out in December & that comes in kit form

things like turnbuckles & servo saver etc are prebuilt but the rest of the build is all down to you
there is a dedicated topic on THE car on here but if you wanted to go direct to the manufacturers site there is a lot more information on there

a little teaser video for you

Why dont more cars-buggys-truggys come in kit for? Is it cheaper for them to sell them RTR?

I agree that building it is just as much or more fun than actually running the car. Maybe it is our age, 40, or our societies need for immediate gratification, i dont know. But I remember building my Frog and it was some much fun because of the anticipation of the car.

But I would love to find a 1/8 eBuggy, that is not a racer that comes in kit for with motor and esc, but it seems they are hard to find.

Anyone know of any eBuggy's out there in kit form, beside the racers?

the RC8B comes probably 75% pre built, alot of the parts are already built but you still have to put it together... and i think you can buy losi as a kit also, i know you used too with 1.0s

Yeah, but dont most of those come at some stage of completion. I think I saw where the RC8Be came at 75% completion. And most of those are race kits, yeah?

no, the RC8Be and RC8B are the only "kits" that come mostly built.

the Hotbodies D8, D8 "hara edition", D8T, and Ve8 all come completely apart except now the axels come built. .... O'donnell comes completely apart, nothing it built, and the parts go together extremely well, no mods needed to get them to fit... the HBs needs mods to get some parts to fit. ive owned both.

when i ran HB i had to do some dremeling on things, cut some of the screws etc. its a solid truggy till you get some time on it then it needs parts.... i found myself replacing servo savers every 3-4 races (includes post, spring and plastic servo saver part) ... its really easy to drive but i got tired of working on it at the track, i never broke a spur gear till HB and plastic would strip pretty easy after some time. i switched to O'donnell for their quality of parts and customer support. but its not bad for the money.
