Default Hyper 7

Hey everyone I recently came across a hyper 7 cheap at a local track. It runs, and will stay running well but the temps climb up to 280-300 that cant be normal right? The problem is if Irichen up the HSN it gets really sluggish, and still the temp climbs. Ialso richened up the LSN a bit to no avail. Im thinking the engine is almost shot but I want to mess with it more for another day or so, then replace it if necessary. Also there is some serious steering servo shakes upfront when I try to steer sometimes...also the throttle servo seams "twitchy". Any ideas to fix these problems? Im thinking of getting new servos for it. What servos would work well with a DX2S and a sr3300T reciever?

Igot a killer deal on this thing, the reciever alone was worth it.Ijust want to put a cocuple hundred in it and have a fun racer/basher.

A weak receiver battery would cause servo shakes.

for servos use a hitec 7955tg for steering. they are a little pricey but are well worth it. throttle i use a 645mg . both will work fine with that radio and reciever... good luck

This is my Hyper 7 Nirvana. I have never been able to bring myself to run it after doing a full teardown and upgrade 1.5 years ago. This thing has pretty much every Hyper 7 mod around. I have been contemplating an electric conversion.

I have a new novak hyper 7 conversion kit if you would want to buy it cheap, it supports a hv5.5. It came included in the package I got. I got 3 sets of tires, novak conversion kit, 15 bags of unopened parts diff rebuild kits, arms, shock towers, screw set...to much stuff to list. I don't have the equipment to convert to electric so I would like to get rid of the kit. I can post some pictures for you if you are interested. Also I got the truck running great, I stripped it down and swapped out the plug which was not correct for the engine, temps are in the 260 max range now. I will post some pics later on it is very similar to the one you posted...it has all that carbon fiber stuff.
