I had a nitro, it was crap and i hated it, im borrowing my uncles with a good negine and boom its opened my eyes. I want an 8th scale buggy maybe a truggy or sc. with a somewhat reliable and easily tuned engine, durable, 4wd , somewhat new so i could get parts and for the price of like 350 max if possible i see a couple ofna/jammins in that price like the hyper 7 tq sport, or ultra lx2 are these good beginer bashers, i want something that could compete but not a full blown racer. not limited to ofna i was just recomended that thank you

Ofna motors aren't going to win any awards for fuel efficiencey but that only matters if you're a hardcore racer running 10+ minute mains. Otherwise Ofna makes a solid product and they are extremely durable.

Im leaning more towards the hyper seven, but anyone have thoughts on the jammin lx2 ? the kyosho looks decent but parts support isnt good where i live for anything kyosho, so i will stay away.. and there isn't even a competitive track in my area that does schedualled events like that, horizon has a track they are trying to get going for big events. but in the mean time i would race and bash with some other buggies i know and electrics friends have

ive owned the Jammin X2, Jammin X1 and hyper 7 and by far the jammin X1 is the best out of the three. the x2 simply sucked, hated it. most parts are interchangable but the X2 parts wore fast and the buggy itself just never felt right, spent 6 months on setup trying to get it to work and ended up converting it to an X1 again LOL ... X1 was durable as anything and worked very good and was easy to drive. the hyper 7 was ok but thats about it, its a basher IMHO, the jammin X1 will make a better basher though IMO, but if you plan on racing then the X1 very capable of winning too

That is of course if your local hobby store has parts for the Jammin or Hyper.
If your local hobby store has KYOSHO maybe you should consider one of the INFERNO line up.
The Hyper has pretty crappy plastic that is to brittle. We have 3 Hyper 7'ns at the track I like to go to but they mostly DNF.
The Jammin is a real nice choise though.
