Its a buggy going 49 mph, hate to ask whats so impressive?

ITS IMPRESSIVE FOR A FEW REASONS.

FIRST: IF YOU LOOK THIS CAR UP ON YOUTUBE (LOSI) IT SELF SAY'S THE CAR WILL GO 35-40 MPH WELL TUNED.
SECOND: THE CAR IS A SINGLE SPEED .20
THIRD: THE JATO IS MADE FOR SPEED WITH 2 GEARS AND IF YOU LOOK IT UP ITS 65+.
FORTH: MY BUGGY IS COMPLETELY STOCK DOING 9MPH MORE THAN WHAT LOSI SAID

SO YEAH VERY IMPRESSIVE.

I'm impressed. Rarely does a stock vehicle hit the manufacter's advertising printed on the box (or website), or so it would seem from the vehicles I own.

Well from the video it sounds a tad lean. Which if you lean an engine out you can hit higher speeds (but trash the engine).
When they say well tuned they don't mean too lean.

So still not impressed

I will be impressed if the engine lasts 5 gallons(3 might be pushing it) if you keep running it like that though.

50mph for a (pseudo) 1/8th buggy is not particularly impressive, nor does it look 'impressively' fast on the video. A better title would have been 'Losi 810 out of the box speed, nice!' for example.

Just a tip. Enjoy the machine!

Everyone lately has been posting up theese speed runs on flat pavement like thats what thier made for or something,(even on road cars dont run that long on a straight) so no, not impressed one tiny bit, put it on the track and then show me something, maybe I'll be impressed!! Speed passes are just gonna wear them out early. Show me a fast lap vid on the track and get some good driving skills, everyone can make a speed pass.

if that is 49 MPH it sure makes me wonder how fast one of my mod .21 buggies go ! last time I radared one it was 51 MPH but its a pile faster then the one on this video...

IMO 49 MPH is solid for a RTR like that....

It's also worth noting that you are assuming the speed gun is calibrated 100% correctly.

I've seen speed runs gone with ebay cheapos and they are quite often optimistic at best.


If you are happy with it then enjoy it..
