Ok, just got back from the track, im very rusty but after i figured out the line i realized, my car doesn't have enough steering, I have outgrown it, its a nice 9.5 with a PBS conversion, running a torsen center 5k in the back and 1k in the front, soft setting up front, med in the back, it just doesn't have enough steering for the technical track I run, it jumps fine, gets good traction, but it just pushes no matter what I do,
I want something with LOTS AND LOTS of steering, I love over-steer, I don't have loads of cash, but it needs to be a decent buggy with decent parts support, it can't be a wimp either, it doesnt have to be a bulletproof tank like the 9.5 but... you know what I mean.
I will not buy a losi eight, that is one i will not buy, don't ask me why, I don't want to argue.
THANKS!

But......why?
Check the Associated RC8 out, I have driven a few and they had just gobs of steering. It also can depend on your setup, as well. Sway bar settings, fluid weights, etc, you know. PM me though, i would like to know why no Losi, I will stay friendly!
Edit: Serpent, XRAY and Caster also make GREAT buggies, check into them!<br type="_moz" />

ive spent hours putting in as much steering as possible, it just pushes, not enough weight up front, it really is a nice car, very durable, it slapped hard a few times, enough to make the other drivers say "MAN was that a hard landing!" but it went on without a hitch.. other than blowing out a glowplug at the track (even though it was running flawless at the house) but I can only afford a car if I sell a car and I already have my MGT 8.0 to beat the crap out of around the house (which by the way is a Awesome rig!) and I have to set the jammin CRT on the track to see if i'm keeping it or not (another awesome find, nova p5x engine jammin pipe and high-end hitec servos)
.... im leaning on a used Xray... they are just well made cars.

Yes, the RC8.2 has wicked steering.. Good quality buggy too..
There are tons of good racing buggies available - X-ray, Mugen, Serpent, JQ, Losi, Kyosho etc etc.. But I like Associated - good price level, good part availability, very competitive..

anyone PM me for leads, I'm flat broke, I think i can get $150 for my roller, so $200- $250 is all I can spend.
lookin' towards a RC8 since my MGT has proven to be a tough truck (Ive landed a few times full throttle with that monster sized .50 and its still perfect)
why so many RTR's??? It just jumps the cost so much.... I want a OFNA hyper SS, but they are only availble in RTR form (.28 at that[:'(])

a Mugen MBX6 has lots of steering and a very locked down rear...a RC8 has gobs of steering, but rear not as locked down.....the absolute king of steering is the new Kyosho TK3...but that is so far out of budget its crazy........... Muegn or AE..... also a D8 Hara handles really nice as well........
the main thing is setting up the car for the conditions....little nuances in the setup can make dramatic differences in the way the car handles.......

Pretty sure I saw an X3 Sabre in the for sale section on rctech the other day for about what you want to pay. Think it was pretty new too.

Just won a used Hyper 9 2.0!!!! this is my dream rig! seriously wanted one for years, it appears it shares parts with the new hyper star, so i can probably install PBS if I wanted. the 9.5 is on the chopping block great car but I have exceeded it's potential.
