Ofna Ultra LX Pro RTR .25
Ok this is not for me but its is for my friend. I dont have a buggy and dont know a great deal about them either. Anyway my friend has the original Cen MT right now and is looking to get something new preferrably a 1/8 scale buggy. We went to the LHS and came across http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXDHW4&P=0 for 329.99. It seems to be very nice and for the price it isnt very expensive. So my question is how is this buggy? Most buggies I see are around 400 and 500 bucks and this being only 300 I didnt really know. I like Ofna stuff so that wasnt really an issue. Anyway thoughg if anyone has that buggy any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks

Yeah that buggy is pretty good. But for 20 dollars more, you can get the ultra MBX pro. I, and many others, think its worth 100 dollars more than the LX. So definately check it out. http://www.ofna.com/umbxpro.html

If he can muster up an extra $20.00, steer him towards the Ultra MBX Pro. The Kick up chassis that comes with the MBX Pro makes a big difference in the way the buggy performs. The MBX is rock solid and seriously fast too. Definitely the way to go on a budget.

the LX will work fine on a seriously limited budget, but I agree with all these guys. Scrape up an extra $20 for the MBX. the LX is not a "bad" buggy by any means, but for $20 more you get a buggy that drives like it cost $100 more.
If it means waiting a week or two to come up with the money, do it, its worth it. Heck, In Las Vegas it should still be warm enough for the grass to grow. Go find someone who needs their lawn mowed. Theres the $20 you need to get the MBX.

Yeah see what i mean. The LX shouldnt even be priced that high since the MBX is out. It is so much better. The LX looks like it only has durability going for it.

True. I dont know how Ofna sells any at that price. They should lower the price to about 275 or so to accurately reflect the difference between the 2 cars. or (God forbid) raise the price of the MBX. There should be more than $20 difference between the 2.

i got my ultra mbx pro for 333.00 out the door at my local Hobby shop so that is less then a 5 dollar difference.
just look around... you can find it, jacks hobbies in fountain valley CA, had that for me. i bet if you call up and talk with John, tell him you were referred tohis place he might be able to hook ya up, but you might pay the 20 again for shipping if he will even do that i have no clue.
