OFNA 9.5 Violator RTR 1/7 SCALE!!!
I just got off the phone with Nitrohouse. I was asking some questions about the New Ofna Violator and he was telling me because of the new 330 mm width it could be considered a 1/7 th. scale! I am very unimpressed with the information that Ofna has on their website and when I emailed them for more info they referred me back to there website! I can't remember which magazine the guy at Nitrohouse said but have a review coming out. I guess it's off to the newsstand to see if they have anything. Has anyone gotten one yet? It's got a new shaft start, is that new or has Ofna used it on something before?

You don't suppose the kids would mind if I made them late for trick - or - treat so that I could swing by the newstand tonight !

Nah! buy em a comic book while you're there and all will be good. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll scan it for you.

That's cool dagass! I am a little disheartened how Ofna just referred me back to their website when I told them that I wanted more information that I could find on their website. I hope that their customer service is much better than the fella that sent me that email!

Ya know, some of the guys at Ofna are really helpful and some of them are just good ol fashioned dip sticks. The biggest knock against Ofna has always been their customer service. There was a guy named Angel over there that was top notch and friendly as could be. Unfortunately, he's no longer with them.
One of the things that kind of hinders Ofnas ability to support their vehicles some times is the fact that they don't actually make them. HoBao makes the Hyper 7 series and Hong Nor makes the Ultra's and the 9.5's. OFna just imports them under the Ofna name. I've found it necessary on one or two occasions to bypass Ofna and e-mail HoBao just to get the right info. Ofna is much better now than they were 5 months ago when I bought my PBS. They got knocked enough in their forum and actually started listening to what people were saying. Are they there yet in terms of total customer service? I'd have to say no but, they are working on it.
I'm curios though. I'm wondering why the guy at Nitrohouse told you that the Violator is a 1/7 scale. The arms that come with it have two mounting holes and if you were to cut off the first hole, the buggy would fall back into ROAR compliance for width. Wonder where that guy came up with his info?

Angel was a bad mother , very help full. I ended up doing some tattoos on him.
I learned a lot about nitro bull****ting with him during that time.
I'll tell ya, if you get Steve on the phone, just go ahead and ask for someone else. That guy is the biggest joke and does nothing but hinder Ofna's appearance to the customer, a complete jack ass on multiple occasions.
dagass, i would love to see the scan on that info.

Thanks dagass !! I went to 4 different stores before I found the December RC Car Action I finally found it today! I REALLY LIKE that Violator! I'm sold I just need to get someone else convinced!
Anyway I have found the Violator for $ 439 at Nitrohouse has anyone seen it any cheaper? It seems like every RC Car anything is located in California. It would be nice to not have to what a week for something to get shipped to the east coast!

Yeah, the Violator is flat out sweet! Definitely gonna be my next RC. Nitrohouse is the best place to get Ofna stuff because they are right next door to Ofna. If Nitrohouse doesn't have something in stock, they can just run next door and grab it from Ofna. Not a bad setup.
As for pricing, you can get them on Ebay for 425.00. With the 15.00 you save, you can have it shipped UPS Orange (3 day). Tell your significant other how much more attentive it would make you knowing that she was so sensitive to your needs! Sounds to me like you're just a couple of foot rubs away!!!!!!

yeah, dagass funny thing about steve. he acts like he is better or cooler then you if your not in his little rc circle, but the funniest thing is that in reality that dude fits the profile that most of us and non rc people think all of us are, in other words the dude looks like a retard. i always find at least one of those types of people at about any Hobby shop, that one guy who has all kinds of useless info in his head and just because you don't all of a sudden his self concious dork ass thinks he's cool but he has not been on a date with anything under 180lbs in years. lol
nitrohouse is in the same building as ofna.
you actually can get into the office of nitro house by walking through ofna and vice versa.
