Actually, tell your brother to save $25 more dollars, and Tower Hobbies has the Nitor ST-15 for 189!!! That is an RTR w/ .15 motor and a radio, brand new, and I have heard decent things about it...

This would probably be perfect for him if he wanted to get into Nitro.
I would recommend this for anyone who maybe wanted to try out Nitro RC, but didn't want to go all out because they weren't sure if they really liked it yet. Finding out you don't like a hobby for $200 is a LOT better then finding out you don't like a hobby for $400+.
My buddy bought one (ST-15), it ran just fine and he had fun with it for a little while, but he just lost interest pretty quickly. He sold it and was only out a few $$$ for the experience.

Nope... Ebay is a crapshoot- you can minimize risks by going with a reputable seller, but I think you have a 50/50 chance to get a good running used one there- experienced guys can find and fix problems on used Nitro RCs- your lil bro prob doesn't stand a chance to troubleshoot and fix a used Nitro.

ebay is good as long as you dont buy from someone who has bad feedback and alwys buy something that the seller says runs perfect.
i have bought many vehicles from ebay and all have worked perfect with no problems

I agree- it can be a good place to get used RC's- but for every 1 person like you there is another 1 that hasn't been as lucky.
If you were a novice RC'er would you want to inheret someone else's problems? I think the learning curve is steep enough on a new Nitro RC for a first timer, to not have to add on the issues of dealing with other problems the old owner didn't disclose or know about.
All I am saying, is that Diputs, I believe if your brother wanted to get into nitro RC, a used one may be more difficult then a new one is all.

RE: NEED HELP WITH BUYING A BUGGY OR STADIUM TRUCK!
he dosnt really want a nitro exept for the fact some electrics only run for about 10 mins. what hes looking for is a cheap nitro or a electric with a longer bat life like teams losi's mini-t. ive herd the mini-t is slowy until u replace the battery, and even with an upgraded engine for speed it will still run for about 30min+
PLEASE RESPOND THANKS!

Chances are if your brother has seen your buggy run he will be dissapointed in a mini t. Even though it runs for a longer time, by comparison its very slow. I agree with the others when i say that perhaps he should get the ST 15
