The S7 with that pipe should be a pretty fine combo when it comes to torque and speed, what gearing do you have ? what Nitro % and plug are you running ? what do you want to bottom end for ?

Also how old is your clutch ?, I`ve heard the alloy shoes when they get a bit warn will develope a burr and drag....and if they are dragging they will seriously hurt the buttom end performance.

If your pipe is a one-piece setup, get a waller adapter and extend the length of the header, and do the same with a regular using a longer coupler or putting a piece of header pipe in between.

Thanks a lot for all of the help and the replies. I am using blue thunder 20 % and an Mc 9 plug, the cluth is brand new and the gearing is the one that comes with the car ( original ), well i would like to improve the bottom end becauce tracks in hear are very small. Also i dindnt understand the thinh of getting the waller adapter, do you mean to put an extra piece to the header to make it longer? Thanks a lot for the help

getter a lower clutch bell if your track is so small you will never reach close to top speed.

this sounds like more of a gearing issue to me.

You can get lighter clutch shoes and tigher springs (Mugen 1.1). Some people shave the ends of the shoes or drill holes in the ends to lighten them. The idea that you want the engine to reach higher RPMs before the clutch engages. This will improve bottm end but you sacrifice your smooth powerband because turn the engine into more of an on/off switch. The C5 is notorious for this behavior after you adjust the clutch.

The next thing you can do is to try and richen up the LSN. A lot of people don't know that good bottom end performace on the S7/WS7/WS7II is possible with a pretty rich LSN. I read someplace that one racer lets his RB engine idle for only 10 seconds before it loads up and dies -- that's pretty rich. The OS engines work differently. For this reason, the RB's don't get tuned properly and people have a hard time getting good bottom end performance out of them.

I have to warn you that all this information is second hand as I don't own an RB, but just read stuff off the RB Forums. That's probably the best source for that type of info.

a properly set low speed on any engine should load up in about 30 seconds.

As far as I know, the MP7.5 and most other buggies has "proper" gearing (either 14/48, 13/46, or 14/46). Lighter clutch springs would help as well and perhaps try a 12 or 13 tooth clutchbell. About your alum clutch shoes, don't expect long life out of them unless you take the clutchbell off and scuff the clutch shoe sides with a fine steel wool periodically.

Yeah the part about the fat bottom end being required is true in some cases, espesially with high powered modified engines. It may well be the case with your S7 and you are being hindered from running the lsn rich by the MC9 plug....thats a bit of a cold choice for 20% Nitro. I think you should get a RB#6 plug and try a tune with that, and also if you have not already got, get a 13th CB

Is your bottom end crisp and responsive ?...or do you just want more punch ?
