Default CRUNCH?

Every time i pull the brakes on my MP7.5 thers a crunch sound from the gears. Its happened before and i ended up replacing the rear diff gears but the rear diff was also jammin but its not jammin now. I thought it was because a bit of grit got into the diff case or somethin but i never found the route of the problem. Anyway ive just replaced the gears and ran 3 tanks through the buggy and its crunchin again. Does anyone have any ideas?. Please help![]

could be any of the front/rear/or center spider gears or either the front or rear ring and or pinion gears. Is this an RTR Inferno?

sounds like the ring gear on the outside of your diff slipping on the pinion!
you need to remove the diff then shim it over inside the casing so its pushed against the pinion
you should've got the shims/thin washers in your kit
check the gear & pinion for wear/ missing teeth while its out too

i had a bearing go out once and caused this very problem. trashed the ring and pinion gears. try aftermarket bearings- way better! this is my biggest complaint with k-cars.

it was the left side rear diff bearing (the one that the diff rides on inside the gear case). evidently there is a problem with dirt getting in there and trashing the bearing. when it goes out the ring and pinion get too much play and start to slip. if you caught it soon enough your gears might be ok. obviously i didnt.
