RE: siro .21
if i heard right they are very hard to tune and the carbs are crap. for that price you could have got an rb ws7II and had change or once you add the aftermarkety head on to that an rb rody roem modified c5.

That engine pulls hard on the top end - but is VERY VERY Weak on the low end. however, with some heavy springs and drilled shoes - you can help that alot. overall a decent engine, runs a bit hot though, like the VO1B

RE: siro .21
well i wont have a prob with over heating (aftermarked head)
so do ya think if I drill the shoes and put some heavy springs i will be able to keep it at idle for the wussy RPMs ?
and if i get it to run cool and fix the low end prob do you think i will be able to compete on an outdoor loose dirt track?

RE: siro .21
you may want to increase RPM at idle a bit via the ISS, but ive seen them run, and they dont seem to have any reliability issues. It is a full race engine, so i dont think u will have any problem with the RB's, NR's, ect...

RE: siro .21
I got a sirio when it first came out. I read how it was the most powerful engine out so I had to have it. Then I started reading how some were having problem's with the engine only lasting 1 gallon. I sold it to my brother, never tried it, and got a C5 instead. We put them in our serpent's and oh my god, that engine pulls the front wheel's on his serpent. They are very fast engine's. You just have to be more careful with the ACC piston/sleeve. Keep it clean and do not over heat it. His is still going strong after 2 gallon's. I think the one's that have problem's with these is that there treating it just like a regular brass sleeve engine. You can get away with over heating a brass sleeve, not that you want to. I had my C5 up to 350f,by mistake, and it still runs fine with great pinch. A sirio with the acc I don't think will take it. And keep it clean. He has one in his dominator also which is the off road engine and love's it. As far as tuning, it was the easiest, next to the os.21rg,I have ever tuned and hold's. We tune it for the weather. After that it's good to go. They have a new sirio with a sleeve that is part of the block as in bolted in. I was reading about it and it sound's good. You have a rocket engine and just take care of it more then you would a brass sleeve engine and it will run for you.

That is a sweet head you got. Just watch your temps cause running to cool will kill your engine also. Plus with a big head and it running cooler makes you want to lean it out to get temps up and then there's not enough oil going through it. I got a crazy nut head for my C4 and watch it closely. I seen a few good bad and it's always on these hi dollar race engine's.

We never had a problem with the sirio's running hot. Too cool but never hot. His on-road fight's to get up to 200f and his off-road runs at 230 all day. You are going to love it. Also, os rocket can squeeze these sleeve's no problem. Cost of about $15.00 and you get more gallons on that high dollar engine. I wasn't sure if he could do the alum. sleeve but we sent him a total dead P/S and he sent it back and it's like new. Saves you a ton of money so you can spend it on something else. Enjoy your power house.

I see that now. Don't want to get in trouble. Does he have a web site ? I am always looking for someone that's good. I do most of my own porting/polishing but not no full blown race port job. Just a bashing type port work to wake up these little nitro burner's.
