Why does everyone and their grandma own a Hyper 7, including me? I think I am going to pull my Bergonzoni out of retirement just to be different. Why doesn't anyone drive a ThunderTiger, CRONO, Beronzoni, Protech, TAG, Mugen, Kyosho, GS.....these are just the cars I could think of off the top of my head. If you are wondering why I run a Hyper 7 is because I have been with OFNA since the ULTRA Worlds II days. And I won with that car. With the old P4 in it. Anyway just curious....

After doing a ton of research, I realized the Hyper7 PCR RTR is by far the most bang for the buck. Plus, it's one of the few race ready RTRs out there. I just wish I was as race ready. [sm=lol.gif]

For me it was market research also, best value, cheap parts, very strong, parts availability in the UK and experience with other brands.
Kyosho are just not as good as they were in the 80's.

hypers are just affordable quality. ive been doing some research too and hong nor replicate so many cars and re badge them its really quite funny. My first buggy was a hyper and its been a great car to grow with and hop up. The kyoshos, mugens, TT's bergonzonis etc are just different grades of finesse and i believe the materials may be of better quality. My Hyper copped a pounding in the first 3 months of operation , then i did the motor up and it went harder than i think i could handle, it was then i started damaging the car, the power and speed ive gotten out of that car has left so many at my car club vey impressed. i have 2 hyper 8 port race motors on order and once ive finished with them ill bet i can crack the 110kph thats with a single gear 13 /46 combo. illbe putting one in a road car with a 2 speed ! ill crack the 140 kph mark im sure ! blah blagh ....

I think it's because the Hyper7 is the most Race worthy of the RTRs
you get a pretty decent race buggy for around $400. That's the hook.
What the new guys don't know (until later) is you end up spending just as much or more, than if you would have bought a "Pro" kit in the first place.
If you come to the races out here and you'll see more Mugen and Kyoshos than Ofnas on the track
But those are the top three by far.
