A simple venom failsafe or an even smaller ofna failsafe will do the job. They are on ebay for less than $20

also use a throttle return spring they are really cheap and will help you if your bet goes dead or comes un connected....i run with a T.R.S and the ofna fail safe and it works pretty good....that sucks you had the bad of a runaway hope you get everything fixed and running

The thread below I think covered the failsafe/runaway topic pretty well..

Other then the few inline aftermarket failsafes, I believe I saw a Futaba receiver that had a built in failsafe with some advanced interference circuitry. Like the ability to verifiy the signal was from a futaba TX. I forgot which model it was but I'm sure it was a Futaba TX/RX.

Default RE: Fail Safe

Hi there
I have been looking at fail safes today as my new and first Hyper 7 PBS should turn up in the next day or so. When I was out with my dad and his new Thunder Tiger Truck on a local car park trying it out as it had only just been run in. We had some nice chap turn up and turn his Transmiter on without even chacking what anyone else was running. So me and my Dad whached as his Truck race off up the car park out of control, but we were lucky as I shall call him Mr I dont bother asking then turned his transmiter off and my dad was able to stop the Truck from crashing into a wall DOH. So for me and I would say anyone else Go get a Fail safe and fast, they are much cheap then the repair bill after a 40 mph head on wall crash !

Now all I have to do is work on something that will stop me driving into wooden posts at 40 mph DOH.

by that last comment im guessing that your having trouble with someone on your frequency. JR makes a synthesized transmitter that can do multiple frequencies. that will fix any problems with that

Yea Ive got the JR XS3. Its alot better priced than an Airtronics M8 with the synthesized option..Hundreds cheaper. And it does alot of the same features. I like it so far. The only complaint I have is that it eats batteries like its its job!

for the throttle return spring just go to the hardware store and pick one out the you think will be best for your servos. its way better than paying 3$ for something you are unsure if it will be good in your car..i got mine for like 60 cents and it works great
