Thanks for the tip. I will move it forward. Is a filter even necessary with the clunk in the tank? Also I have to take some updated pictures I got a new engine.

An extra filter is 100% unnecessary. The Clunk does its job. What engine did you pick up ?

I eneded up getting a OS vpsec. I wasnt looking for the best and the greatest, I eneded up walking into a local hobbytown and I seen this motor in the window for $400 :/...I asked the clerk if that was foreal...he said he can take off $50, making it $350. I then broke out my iphone and did some research, I couldnt find a price on this engine because it was a vpec limited edition gold head...no big deal, but I think it looks decent. Ended up shootin the sh*t with the clerk for a while and convinced him to let it go for $230.

They honestly aren't a very popular motor. Not really sure why, But they kinda flopped in the sales dept.

...way over priced, always ask for the deal...worse that can happen is they say no. Dont ask dont get. The engine is really easy on the eyes, especially at eye level with all those cooling ports drilled in the head. I was looking to send it in somewhere for a race mod before I break it in but Ihave yet to find a company that will answer the phone or reply to my emails....Its been raining over here in CA lately so I havent had the chance to start it yet. Very eager to see what it can do on the track.

If you want it modded I wouldn't start it. Most engine guys prefer to have Brand new units Vs anything used.

RC8B I got used. Second ever buggy race this weekend - if the weather doesn't ruin it(FINALLY the stars align allowing me to run in one..., and now the weather threatens to hose it all up..) Gonna start with the used P215S Rex/NR engine with NR 9901/short header that it came with - have tested it a few times and it seems alright.. If that doesn't work then a Go 3-port R with Mielke 2041 and new Ascendancy clutch. I am currently breaking in my "main" engine for it - an Argus - in my SC8, but as of now it only has three tanks through and about 6-7 heat cylces.. So probably won't be putting that in..
Servos are Ace, tires for starters are Bow Ties(I think..), set-up no clue..
