Default Hyper 7 Engine Mount Spacer

I remember seeing a thinner version of the engine mount spacer for the Hyper 7, does anybody know the reason for this thinner version, is it to save weight or (hopefully) it's intended to lower the enginer to make the engine flywheel more accessible to help starting on the crappy Hyper 7 starter box. The problem is that the starter box wheel rubs on the edges of the flywheel cut out in the chassis unless the car is perfectly aligned with the starter wheel. Can anybody shed some light on the thinner spacer ?
Cheers

I beleive it is to lower the CG of the car
It's not intended as a cure for a misalinged starter box, but if it helps Free bonus,
the crappy box will still be just as crappy

I believe you are thinking of the 2 piece bottom plate. This is to lighten the buggy not lower the engine.

Yes its just light weight. You physically couldn't drop the engine any lower as the case would be hitting the block. See bottom right in the image.

So Ofna refering to them as "Lowered engine mounting plates" is misleading?
How about we post a better Pic
Doesn't that tapered section, on the inside of the mounts, allow the motor to sit lower?
Also isn't it why they use strong grade aluminum to get a stiffer connectoin with less materail

I'll have to order a set and see for my self first hand. really to hard to tell from a picture
But they look thinner to me
