Question for the masses:
The dog ears supporting the shock tower on my front diff case got cracked off just after break in on my X-Term Deluxe. I drove it anyways for a while till the aluminum shock tower mushed in half too. I replaced the case with a stock one, but I have a feeling it will happen again. I hear people have come up with garage-born reinforcement solutions for this problem, but I can't find any details. An aluminum or carbon diff case would be SWEET!
Also, I replaced the shock tower with the carbon fiber one. Anyone have their 2 cents on this thing? I figured the aluminum one didn't cut it, so why repeat history, right? I know my steering skills aren't gonna improve anytime soon....
Thanks,
paullyH

go to www.hobbypeople.net and go to the forums they have for their vehicles. to get there, go find the xtm x-terminator deluxe and click on the forum link. under the gallery section, there are many pics of diff reinforcements. also, just talk to the guys there. they are really knowledgeable. i think a guy there named dragman makes some nice braces; ask around. i know this stuff because i frequent the mammoth forum a lot.
