I am replacing my diffs for either the Hyper 7 spider ot the torsions ones (if i have spelt that right).
I have the Lightning 2 which even the hardened versions on come in 4 diffs rather than 8. Will his fit in my chassis without drilling or replacing the holder. If any one knows what the dimesions are of the spider, could they drop a link or something??
Thanks

I think...I think..I maybe wrong..But I think he's trying to say he wants to put some 8 gear spider diffs off of a Hyper 7 into his Lightning.
Am I right?

Just read it myself and i cant make sense of it. I think i may have been drunk or something at the time?
I want to put a hyper 7 spider in my lightning 2 but dont want to pay £30 if it dont fit. so was wondering if anyone has tried or knows the dimesions, or even try it out if you work in a model shop.
cheers

Hyper diffs will not fit in the lightning without swaping the gearboxes, which would also mean the the suspension and center diff housing. A poinless exercise as all that will remain is the chassis ( with a lot more holes in), engine, pipe and radio gear.

could you recommend something as the lightning diffs only have 4 differential gears in them rather than the 8 that the spider has.
I want something a bit stronger than the stock ones on mine.

The lightning has 6 gears in the sense that the Spider has 8. Maybe Fiorini do something that would fit but I cant think of any definates off my head.
