Ohhhh Scrit!
Grahama went out and got himself an XB8- Love it brother- I'm running mine for the first time tomorrow- It's looking SOLID from the breaking in I've been doing in my driveway so far. We'll see how the track does it.

perhaps we've even managed to convince you there's better engines out there than a Hyper 8port?[X(]

You know what I mean, The Hypers are great- I turned the best lap times with them, but for me there time has now come and gone- ( And the plethora of rear pinions as well)
Throw one of your 421B's in that Xray Man. and this time- replace the conrod either after break-in or after 1-1.5 gallons and you wont have it thrown outside the case again.

Which- I'm guessing you use the conventional break-in method? We'll there might be your leading cause to that thrown rod- give the bess method a try. Because along with those in the box instructions for break in also comes a mote saying to replace the rod after break-in as well.

Alex, i see you fancy a P7-R with a 9853 pipe!
apparently the Picco/Omega engines work better on a Picco type pipe! you see posts all over "the grid" saying how much the Picco 069 pipe really made the engine come alive
i've always been told that the Picco engines don't seem best suited to the Novarossi/RB type pipes!
plus looking at the team drivers cars Steve Haynes, Kevin Moore & Bob Ryan (all UK Picco drivers) all have the 069 fitted & wouldn't use anything else
i think they're available for sensible money

THE BEST BUGGY!!!
THE BEST BUGGY!!!
Well I am just giving you grief, it is a nice looking buggy..I would like to see some action shots and hear some results when you get it dirty.
It seems the XB8 topic comes up more and more each day...I have been a Mugen guy for the last 10 years so...I am partial to Mugen..but I do beleive its a proven buggy...not to say its the only one in its class

A fair point but after building this kit and seeing the design and finish of it, for a platform that has been on the market for less than a month, I think this will be up there next year. Just let us find out it's quirks.

Agreed, I know the instruction book is alot more helpful then the Mugen Book...This is the 1st buggy which sparked my interest since the old Mbx4. I am interested in seeing the results...

its just so beautiful
