ok i got a temp reader for my car just so i know im running at safe temps..ive read as long as i have plenty of smoke then im running rich enough.well i dont know if im putting my digital temp gauge to close or what but when i put it right up on the motor im getting readins in the 300 digree range..i know thats too hot.i have the engine so rich that the fumes burn my eyes..is there a standard lenght away from the motor that i should keep the guage like maybe 5 inches or a foot? please help me b4 i blow my engine up
