Default bogging??

When i accelerate my car is usually fine, but 1 in 5 times at full speed the car boggs until i come off the accelerator and re-apply of which works fine.

Any ideas why i get this irregular bog?

I am using the WS7II, which has little over a gallon, and still has lots of compression. I run it around 100c and on the rare occasion has got to no more than 110c

I know the engine is fine and has been broken in well, but i have this problem. Any ideas why it does this. It seems to get a lock or restricted flow but pipes, tank and airfilter ar fine. could it be my clutch, as i am using aluminium 3 pce, and the way that it engages?

I use this as i have melted a few other clutched on this thing.

hmmm... Check your diff internals, maybe something binding... Check for airleaks ,,, do you get dust build up around the base of your carb ? if so re seal it with some silicone, must be heat and fuel resistant.. Check the seal on your fuel tank,

Engines run at different temps all the time, it could be high temp , for a moment...

If its full speed you may be over leaning the engine ... sometimes engines will starve for fuel at WOT .. ive had that problem before. give it 1/8 turn rich, warm it up and see if it still happens..

i have no airleaks at all in the tank or piping. i keep the engine clean as possible so no build up around carb which is nylon to prevent heat from effecting it.

i run it at 100c so it doenst over heat.

I will check the diffs and richen to see if that effects it

sounds like the notorious WS7II lean bog[:'(]
try richening up the bottom end a full turn & lean the top a quarter
this should sort it out! the WS7II needs the low speed needle to be almost the depth of the screwhead outside the housing with the throttle nipple for it to stop bogging like this!
i bet it only happens after a lap or 2?

normally after about 5 mins it starts bogging but only now and then. i will try this out but i cant see how its too lean. the temps that it operates at are excellent.
as i said i keep them around 100c normally lower 90's.

i will get back to you once i try it.

cheers
