Default PRP Swift hop-ups

Hello, I have an old edition 1/8 Swift. I'm jsut wondering where in the world I can get some hop-ups for the car. I know I can buy the second edition parts but I dn't know where. Are there any other cars hop-up parts that can go in this car?
Thanks. Chris

PRP is actually making better versions of the car's weaker parts. I know that new front A-arms are availabvle with less castor and that something called the "Swift Pro" kit will be available with other improvements. I've heard that Ace Hobbies can get them.

I have a swift and have replaced many of the parts with either different manufacturer's parts or heavily modified the ones on the car.

Also, if you haven't heard, locktite all your screws, locktite the set screws on the CV joints and becareful with that steering servo!

Dont forget to use nail polish or CA glue to secure screws that terminate in plastic.

Hey, I have a Swift too (you answered to my post). My differentials work like crapp. So yesterday, I bought differential oils (weights 3k,5k,1k) and also bought two shim kits from prp. Are the those shims good? should I put 1 shim for every side the gear? I just wanted to know what you think about the diff oils and how many shims I can use. Thanks. Chris

You need to use as many shims as it takes. I replaced my diff gears and re-shimmed them with one on each side, and it seemed just right, but I now, after about 2 gallons through it, they seem loose. On the PRP website they have a tutorial about how to shim the diffs.

I've recently got two sets of Mugen outdrives because the PRP ones are not hardened and mine are completely rounded out, so, I'll rebuild the diffs again when I put those outdrives in.

When you say outdrives, do you mean the larger gear that's connected to the shaft? (there are two per differential)
Sorry, I don't have much experience with these things!
Thanx

Outdrives are the two slotted cylinders that connect to the axels. The stock ones on my swift were not made of hardened steel, so they wear out very quickley. I'm not sure if PRP has fixed this or not, but you'll know after about half a gallon of fuel, they wear that fast.

Oh, yea, mine are pretty worn out too. Are they good as long as tey work or will they start giving me differential problems?

Yeah but NOT a KYOSHO. LMAO.

Nah really the swift is a good noobs buggy. Best to learn the basics on a cheaper car than to trash an expensive one and not know why.
