is it possible to tear the back plate off servos, clean up, grease them with some sort of di electrical grease, i think my steering servo was attacked by oil, simple green or water, it twitches, thought it was the batteries so replaced, brake/ throttle servo doesnt twitch, just the steering servo, any suggestions on cleaning and rebuilding......

YEs you can take it apart by the backplate. But i dont know if greaseing it will do anything if the damage is already done.

But try it and lets us know how it works.

I've had them get funky from water and simply drying them out was enough, but i've also seen some fried from running them wet. If the thing is already wrong, it can't hurt to try, but i would be very careful with the grease.

well update for you all.........took it apart, bottom side tiny little motherboard.....sprayed off with compress air, dryed it off really quick, the top side just had a series of gears put a light coat of lithium grease, put it all back together, works great, i guess the wettness....since in the bottom, the liquid seemed to be shorting out the electrical connections on the little main board, and then placed back together......and ran siliccone around the outside of the housing over the seam where the housing meets.,ill keep you all posted on how the silicone holds up against tthe nitro fuels

Just a little thought, where I run my buggy we have some water. So I put my servos inside small ballons and they have kept nice and dry since then and work fine. I also put my hump pack and reciver in side ballons as well LOL.

P.S. Even when I whent through 3" of salt water by accident DOH. Sized every bearing in my buggys drive train within 24 hrs doh. Lucky for me I put the engine in a container full of oil to soke so that it would not size up.

P.P.S. I now stay well clear of deep water lol.
