i have the rb concepts S7II, and it is a raging beast of an engine. probably not enough torque on the bottom end, but screams on top.

the P 5 is an awesome engine, only problem is the pistons and rods are crap in some of them, maybe a bad batch.. i have a P5 and ive shattered 2 pistons and 1 rod, in as many runs,, .. I have replaced the piston and rod with one out of an old hyper 8 port and its working fine, the piston is a smidgen smaller in bore but with a little pinch works great.

Why limit yourself to trashy engines. Think Picco P7-R. The FASTEST ENGINE at the worlds.

out of the engines on ur list..i would go with a 421B...RB's pull good mid to top..but are sensitive to clutch adjustments

i seriously think all you guys with your x-specs are overating them big time. you think they are the best in the world. grahma is right the p7-r was the fastest but to bad about technicalitys but we couldn't have ofna winning now could we.

i know you like your P7-R Alex as i hope i will like mine once i start using it

BUT the P7-R was in the CAR that was going around the track the fastest at the worlds. it wasn't the fastest engine at the worlds due to Yannick restricting the amount the carb could open & as such he was noticably slower on the straights than pretty much all the other cars as can be seen on the many videos of this posted up all over the net at the time!
the hyper was the buggy he was using but all you hear is Mugen Mugen Mugen when people talk about the Worlds and also its RB RB RB everywhere! so people only read the results rather than actually look into the facts & reasons behind things[

I haven't had any luck finding info about the P7-R myself, not that I want one, I was just curious about its specs. Anyway, if you decide on the P5, I have a brand new in the box Rex P5 that I'll sell for $220 shipped if you're interested.

as far as i know the Omega version is available in the US already but they're still waiting on the Picco P7-R
its still going to be called the P7-R and i believe the hold up was because they have been waiting on a new spec crank!
a quote from Ron Hopkins lifted from The Grid
that should explain the delay

Went to a new crank with pressed in chromed crank pin. Allows the main
part of the crankshaft to be hardened while allowing you to make pin out
of a softer less brittle material. The area where the pin/counter weight
join is highly stressed. Doing this reduces the likelyhood of pin
failure without reducing the durability of the crank. Seems like a small
thing but it just shows you what kind of testing/development is going
into this motor

The poll says S5 not C5. S5's are ~$200
I think you should consider the JP FX B5-N Stock. It's in the ~same price range as the other motors your looking at. ~$300.
