Had mine since Saturday and built it up with RB S7II

Ran it for the 1st time today and it certainly go's well on grass, great handling using Jon Hazelwoods setup from the UK Distributors website (British Champ and TT team driver)

Out of curiosity are the diffs the same as the S2 or are they different like the rest of the car?

I think the diffs are different (the part numbers are) and the drive gears are different... worm bevel gears now...

On the subject of diffs the gearcase design is sweet and you can change the diffs merely by removing the front (or rear for rear diff) of the diff case, makes for a simple change of diff oil should you need it... Maximum 6 bolts for each diff (front/rear) center is a little more complicated...

Ah bummer [:'(]

Just got a couple of Torsens for my S2RTR/S2PRO/LE hybrid and just thought I might give Russell at Top Options some more cash but looks like I'll stick with what I got for a while anyway

hey all,

this is my 1st post on the forum so a big HELLO!
looking at the pictures of the s3 it looks like quite an awesome piece of kit, and looking at the center diff it looks like you can just take 8 screws out undo the brake linkages and Viola center diff is out?[:-]

Regards mike

The center diff is indeed 8 screws to change...

The front and rear diffs are 6 screws to change, and no disturbing the geometry

Its a wicked car and an awesomely stiff chassis

Had mine 8 days now...

Credit card is twitching but I think it will stay in my pocket. If I hadn't bought the Torsens it might be different
