I finally go tmy XB8 under control using Team XRAY's setups..... but my rear end is still a little loose for me...... or even the pros at my track.
I am running 5 - 7 - 1 diff oil.
If I change to 7 - 7 - 1 ...... so you think this would make the front grab more..... and keep the rear end from sliding soo much?
Please give me your suggestions. I think the setup/suspension is good..... just a little loose under power.....
Thanks,
Jackson[8D]

I don't think changing to 7000 oil for front will get you more grab but rather you may encounter your XB8 comparatively not willing to turn, as well as using 7000 for central. If you keep encountering loose end, 5,5,1 may be a better setting.

it might not be the diffs at all! in mine im running 5,7,1 and it hooks up like a dream. i think it might be your tread? what kind of terrain are you running on? and the shock oil helps too. i run the 1.5 conical pistons w/ 45 in front and 35 in rear and the light blue springs. i found i can run the xb8 lower w/out it bottoming out like my kyosho does. also your motor has a lot to do w/ it i cant seem to hook up w/ my P5 but the S7 works fine. the P5 just has to much bottom for it and i have tried everything to calm it down?

I am running 1.4 straight pistons.... 50wt front 35wt rear ..... soft blue springs
Crimefighter or Knuckles..... soft compound
RB S5 motor.... plenty of HP for me.....
Another Forum -- was telling me to go up in the rear 2000 or 3000....??? I think this would cause more of looseness.... maybe not?
Thanks,

i think you might try 3,5,1? this might suit you well. or you could try diff. clutch springs that inguage later so when you get on the gas it doesnt slam in gear and break the tires loose. just a thought? and i have had real great luck w/ my panther switch tires

Seems you hook on Gene's setting, i did too. i found 7000 center behaved better on fast straight but less sharp turn ability to overcome my local track so i would get back to 5000 this weekend. If you mean sticking to 7000 center, you may try dark blue shock spring and lay down the shock angle as this probably slow down the reaction for better control

i love that setup!
