Default Hyper 7 PBS or MP777 standard........

Hello, i'm newbie in buggy's world, and for my first car i was thinking to buy a Hyper 7 PBS RTR or a MP777 Standard...In the beggining i was only thinking about buying the Hyper (because the price) but i discovered a store in the USA (Tower Hobbies) who has great prices for both buggy's...one option is the Hyper 7 PBS RTR and the other is a MP777 standard with Hyper Port 8 Pro engine with RB pipe or with a OS Max-21 VZ-B V-Spec-T with RB pipe.THERE IS MANY DIFFERENCE BEETWEEN THE HYPER PBS AND THE MP777???????THERE IS MANY DIFFERENCE BEETWEEN THE HYPER 8 PORT PRO AND THE OS Max-21 VZ-B V-Spec-T??????????

REGARDS, JORGE SILVA

For my money I'd go with the 777 and the V-Spec; you'll spend more up front, but in the end I think you'd end up with a better performing buggy IMO.

the hyper is a much better car then the 777 standard, however i would take the 777 pro version over my hyper, or actually ill buy the 777 pro and keep my hyper. in my opinion the hyper is one of the best ready to runs but when u start talking pro level kits theres competition with mbx5 pro-spec and 777 pro car

besides price there is nothing to compare...OS Vspec is the better mill...and twice the price of the Hyper 8 port race.
Being new to buggies you may be better off with 2 cheaper engines for the same price as the Vspec.

I did and IMO the XB8 is better than both.

But for a Noob the PBS would be better.

I have the regular one. But mine is longer regular. Thanks to ebay I got all the sp1 differences plus a bunch of King Headz (chassis braces and hinge pin holders) and a hex head screw kit for the same price as a sp1. SO the reg. is a good place to start and keep checking ebay and upgrade as you can. Because the sp1 needs upgrading also, hinge pin holders, chassis braces shock towers, etc. So why waste money on a sp1 when you still need to upgrade it

true man thats what i was going to say- buy the reg. and hop it up and save money. a guy at the track did this and his is just as good as the sp1. IMHO just go w/ the reg. and the hyper has a lot of play in the steering. i put the bearings in and everything and still a lot of play? the 777 has some of the best steering out and that is a good thing to have.

Buggy will do you good with a few hop ups in the strengthening department. The engines a good choice for a noob, the body? why? you get one with it. Radio, good choice. Servos???????????????? No chance firstly if you insist on those 2 then swap the positions round. The Karbonite 635 gears are crap, they will not last out the first knock on the steering. I wouldn't hold out much more on the 625 but at least it has metal gears. Personally I'd go with a slightly cheaper engine and pipe combo and spend it on better servos than Hitec, possibly Airtronics or preferably Ko Propo.

i dont agree, the std mp 7.5 was bad, but the std 777 is definitely not a bad car - it really is jus a standard version of the pro, and can offer similar performance to the pro at less cost though it does need a lil strengthening. It has more potential than the hyper 7.

S7 II, your brave for a noob. Dificult engine to tune those. But we in the UK tend to favour the RB 6 plug and 25% nitro.

Also I think the PBS has more Potential, seeing as it can be converted to C hub and they were the TQing car at the worlds this year.
