buy a used kanai 2 or 3 instead of either, from ebay.
as far as MP7.5 RTR and hyper 7 goes, hyper 7 is better, no doubt.
how is the racing scene in botswana?

really from experience dont get used *****! its risky as heck and you never know what your getting no matter how good it looks. just get a new hyper if you are gonna bash. the parts for the Kyosho's are costly. the ones for the Hyper are cheap and it is really built more for bashing. as stated the 8port does have issues. i had 1 and it wouldnt run for crap the carb was a mess. either you get a good one or a bad one. do what i did and just get it w/ the motor and try it out some of them really rip and have no issues. if it dont turn out just upgrade the motor and you wont have to mess w/it.

Yes, the Kyosho Inferno Sports RTR is "just that bad". This is a car that is considered to be "Up-side-down". This is when the cost of upgrading the car exceeds its initial cost. Kyosho just wanted a quick fit in the "RTR era" so they put together this car. It is the only RTR that doesn't have some sort of CVA,CVD, or universal drive shaft on the front, which is very crucial to 1/8 performance, I believe they also used a plastic spur gear. These are no-no's and clear indicators that they were not, by any stretch of the imagination, trying to deliver a decent "bang-for-the-buck" but more like a quick buck. The hyper 7 RTR are very similar to their pro kits. We have people at my track racing the stock hyper 7 RTR(with a mod motor) and are killing. If it takes you a little longer to get the Hyper 7, be patient.

I bought a second hand Inferno MP-5, almost upgraded to Evolution II spec off Ebay for £40. If I were to couple that with an O.S. RG I'd have a car better than both the MP-7.5 Sports/Sports Readyset and the budget Hyper 7's.
What I'm saying here is don't completely discount 2nd hand bargains.
