i thought itd be kool to start a thread about racing because the season is starting and every one is excited i no i am. to start off i race at wolcott race way in connenticut and its great. theres going to be a big race up there this year and some known pros are gonna be there(not sure what ones) but its gonna be in one of the issues of rc car action and its for 1/8 buggies only. i cant wait for this. also you can share some race setups and hop ups if ud like and maybe some pics too.

This should be a cool thread. I race in the charlotte NC area and we have about 5 tracks within 30 min. One is an indoor track and on of the other really good ones is having the O'donnels fuel nationals in 2 weeks. It is a huge track. For those who would like to see some of the tracks in my area go to www.carolinasrc.com and go to the track directory. Some of the tracks have websites and pictures others do not.

I've noticed that most guys in this forum race year'round. What kind of fun is that??? I love seasonal races because you spend six months gearing up, the winters last a half of eternity and then before you know it spring is here and you have done every thing possible to get that buggy ready. But I've ran twice this year and I'm doing great. Gearing up for another one this weekend.

I just had my first 1/8 scale race last weekend. I got eight out of nine cars and my inferno spent most of the time cartwheeling down the track. It was fun and I can feel a seventh place finish coming soon.

I race year round. It's awesome. But then again a lot of wear and tear on your equipment and alot of turn over. It's also hard to find time to maintain your cars- especially when you want to race every weekend. But then again thats the beauty of living in Florida.

i race yr around as well. its cold here in the winter but we have a indoor track just 40min away from me. the best thing about racing yr around is your skill level improves over the ones who dont. there is a big race (200entry limit) at Hardestys raceway in Indiana.

danRemote14, did you have trouble getting the rear chassis brace to fit? My electric box got in the way.

I just finished the summer championships at pdnrracing.org.au came second in buggy on road out of 16 entrants. Excellent fast crazy fun. ran the championship with quite a bad tire and diff selection .. am completely rebuilding the car.. found the rear diff almost about to fall apart, center diff housing was torn to pieces by a screw come un done( hard to see it ) still ran though. ran on tires that had too much side give, i insist on running rubber, dont like foams, not enough forward traction. brakes were worn so they would lock up ... it was a disaster !!!

Anyways have replaced all three diffs, spider rear 2 k and torsen front and center. Medial pro tarmac II tires ina 25 and 35 shore. Taken all the metal out and replaced it with CF , any metal left goes under the dremmel , love cutting out unnesseray bits. have to put this car on a diet ! lol

will have the first heat of practise next tuesday night ( if it dosent rain ) .[&:]

i went to my track today and practiced.. i love my kanai 2 it handles so much better than my hyper 7 did. it is so fast to but my track needs some work because the table top is so big that it blocks a portion on the track which makes a blind spot which sucks but i like the jumps they have and all.

i just recently took my car apart and re oiled the shocks, diffs, bearings and cleaned it. i have 60 front 40 rear for shocks and 3k-5k-1k for diff set ups. wat are you guys running for ur set ups. btw wen i took my shock apart and put it back together then ran the car it leaked but they are old shocks and i might invest in some new wons, any ideas in wat would be good. i was thinking f the ttr s3 ones cuz they have that ball system andlooks like it works nicely.

Dan, what buggy do you have? What shocks are on it? How long have you had them on your buggy? You might just need to rebuild your shocks with a rebuild kit. Replace the o-rings and bladders etc... unless you already did this and they're still leaking?
