Force .26 head clearance-HELP!

Force .26 head clearance-HELP!
i took the head off my engine the other day to take the engine off teh mounts. i come to find out that it had no head shims. can this be right? i was wondering if anyone knows the amount of shims i need for running 20%

you sure ? did you run your finger over the end of the sleeve? sometimes the shim can be mistaken as part of the sleeve or head button ..
