Default Hyper 2 speed?

I have a hyper pbs with the 21 8 port and was wondering if the 2 speed tranny would be a good upgrade...im wanting to lock the diff anyway... so will this tranny give me more bottom and top end? Any down sides to it?

If you like jumping, then the 2-speed will mess you up because it likes to shift in the air.

Well I have a hyper pcr pro, with quad brakes, it still need quite a distance to stop, now imagine having just one brake! I already bought a 2 speed, but did not put is bcause of the single brake!

On a track it will not help much.

ill ask him what the gearing is? the thing was balistic, it would be all over the road until about 50mph then it would shift and BAMMMMMMMM it would hook up like a rocket. honestly he has a crap load of cash in it. it has every carbon fiber piece they make for it. and alumnium wheels are a must. he said the others would wabble all over the place.

So no one has experance with this 2 speed?? Im sure its more for on road but it cant be that bad off....I called up ofna the the bell has a 13 and 17 tooth. The spur is 46 and 50 tooth. They told me stock was 13 bell and 47 spur...so first gear just gonna be pretty much the same...so if i would set the 2 speed to where it shifts later maybe while im runing it on dirt it wont shift..but once i get in a open parking lot its gonna fly!!! I think ill give it a try...if it really sucks i can always sell it on ebay and ill have to buy a hyper 7 rtr center diff and put a locker in it... but if someone has some more info on the 2 speed it would be great...i prob wont order for another week.

Come on guys...someone has to have or had the 2 speed.....

Well i watched my buddy run is buggy..he has a mbx r2 with the 21 8p race and man he had alot more torque than i do...and i know why..cause not all the power is going to the front wheels of his buggy. Mine use to look like that a few days ago on my first few runs. So either somethings wrong or something...i just need to get that 2 speed...that way i dont have to worry about it.

Anyone??

The thing is, basically, they provide more disadvantages than advantages in off road cars, unless you are a drag racer or really want insane top speeds from your vehicle. If that's what you're after, buy a shumacher fusion. It has a .21 engine and a 3 speed box, they do about 80mph out of the box. Buggies are off road cars and there's not much point going 80 miles an hour over bumps, you would not be able to control it.

That's why you're not getting much in the way of answers...capiche? [8D]
