"We have no intentions of coming out with an 8th scale buggy at this time. Team Associated is commited to developing the best 10th scale racers available today. Our TTR division is currently producing several 8th scale buggies that are dominating the circuit worldwide."

The acronym is actually AE, not TA
Sorry, just kidding 'round.
AE is done, TTR already makes everything they sell except for the Team Kits, and that will likely change. TTR owns AE for one reason and one reason only....OK, two reasons. The Name and Reputation. Maybe that is just one. Point is, there will not be an AE Branded buggy as long as the S3 is around. TTR should have marketed the S3 with AE's name like they did with the MGT.
Losi is with Horizon, they will not release a buggy that competes with Mayhem, until it finishes its run, just doesnt make sense, unless it is a rebadged and slightly changed Mathem. Kinda the way that Pontiac and Chevy always have twin vehicles with subtle changes. Horizon should have used the Losi name for the Mayhem. Look at the magic rebadging does in the case of the Mini T, who the heck actually makes that thing?
Rebadging can be a losing situation though, Duratrax have been rebadging Flying Point stuff way too long, and there vehicles have a bad rep, whether deserved or not, as that part never matters in RC. Trinity made a grand mistake with the Spyder, also using a Flying Point Vehicle. I actually laughed out loud when I saw Trinity's nitro starter kit, which is the same kit that comes with the Acme and Smartech trucks on Ebay.
Then there is Ofna, who rebadges two different manufacturers and just floods the market with bash and competition vehicles. If you dont like the Hong Nor stuff, try the Ho Bao stuff, and Vice Versa.
Sorry for the ramble.

I am sure that I've read somewhere that Losi and Mayhem have a kind of connection. There is a lot of parts that are the same on the Mayhem buggy and a Losi MT.
